MASTER EMBEDDED SYSTEMS AND MEDICAL IMAGE ENGINEERING
Master embedded systems and medical image engineering
IMESI Master Programme Highlights
The Embedded Systems & Medical Image Engineering (IMESI) program aims to provide an outstanding academic training in designing and operating embedded hardware, embedded software in the first hand and signal, image processing at the second hand. New skills will be acquired in innovation and risk management for safe and societal design approaches, within system engineering disciplines, such that microelectronic, mechatronic, medical emphasizing the technical, human and environmental aspects.

The curriculum is structured around projects, technology practices and problem-solving approaches using modelling and simulation tools based on system design, automatic control and signal engineering.

Exceptional Faculty: The education in Engineering Sciences at INSA is supported by the 3 major approved laboratories in their fields (Ampère, CREATIS, INL). Students are taught by some of the most talented and capable scholars and researchers. Faculty members in the IMESI Master programme come from INSA Lyon including prestigious industrial and academic partners.

Entry Profile
The candidate profile is a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Eng. or Computer Sciences (or equivalent). Graduates will learn how to design, maintain and interoperate Embedded Systems and signal processors, within study cultural and cognitive aspects, which are of paramount importance to adapt to the needs of companies, administrations and users.

Acquired Competencies
The aim of IMESI course is to train graduates to become professionals possessing in-depth expertise in the field of designing for transport (automotive, railway, aerospace), medical and paramedical services (robotics, image processing, and diagnosis) and environment (electrical energy, domotic, multienergy…).

The course is designed to allow the graduates to achieve a comprehensive understanding of advanced methods, techniques, and tools as required for modelling, simulating, performance assessment and technical implementation, as well as to teach graduates how to adapt such tools to different contexts and environments, e.g. in health, medical, industry, public sector and academic world.
